Brutal Simplicity

With the permission of Kevin Burg, I worked on his ‘Brutal Simplicity’ design made for Tumblr, and converted it into a WordPress theme. It is not a very lavish theme, however it does give you plenty of room to develop your own wordpress blog. One of the additional features I decided to add is the widget menu on the side, double acting as the main menu. Using jquery I added an expanding effect to each of the links, so I’m fairly proud of that.

You can download it here.

Mac Pro i7

I love the designs of Apple’s computers, they are great! The only compromise is the price, the cheapest Mac Pro at £2041 was out of my budget range. Instead what I decided to do was opt for the older generation, Power Mac G5. The Power Mac G5s have nearly the same case design as the newer Mac Pros, the only differences being that the G5 can only hold one dvd drive and it is missing some of the newer ports on the front panel. I purchased an old Power Mac G5 computer from ebay and stripped out its innards. To mount the motherboard I obtained a Lian Li motherboard tray from Kustom PCs and cut out the back of the case with a dremel and a hacksaw.
